Tech Louisville, a new training program by KentuckianaWorks, will prepare you to start a new career as an IT Support professional.
The program is offered at no cost to participants and will offer classroom and online learning as well as mentorship with an experienced pro while participants earn their Google IT Support Professional Certificate.
Now is the time to go into tech.
IT support jobs are in high demand across the country as well as in the Louisville region, with nearly 400 job postings in the last 90 days.
They also pay well. IT support jobs have a median salary of over $43,000 locally, 20% higher than the median for all occupations.
“Louisville’s tech sector is on the rise thanks to programs like Tech Louisville.”

How does Tech Louisville work?
Training will take place online as well as in the classroom with the help of experienced industry mentors. Tech Louisville will also help prepare you for job interviews and put you in touch with local employers who need to hire qualified tech workers.
This model is based on the successful Code Louisville program, which now has over 1,000 graduates and over 400 job placements.
Who is Tech Louisville for?
Tech Louisville is for any Louisville resident age 18 or older who wants to start a career in IT Support, regardless of previous tech experience.
Due to the grant that funds Code Louisville, we will place a special emphasis on recruitment and training in particular neighborhoods, especially in the Russell, Portland, Phoenix Hill, Smoketown, Shelby Park, and South Central neighborhoods. Residents of these areas of the city will be given priority placement into the program. If you are not part of one of these communities, you may still apply but there will be a waiting list to enter the program.
